FORT GENERAL GREGORIO H. DEL PILAR, Baguio City — The head of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) met with leaders of the academy's Board of Visitors on October 19, 2026, to keep support going for the academy's development plans, the PMA Public Affairs Office said.
Lieutenant General Michael G. Logico, the PMA Superintendent, made courtesy visits to Dr. Theresita Atienza and Mr. Hans Sy. Atienza is the President of Quezon City University and chairs the PMA Board of Visitors (PMABOV). Sy is Chairperson of the Executive Committee of SM Prime Holdings Inc. and chairs the PMABOV Resource Committee.
According to the academy, the meetings focused on keeping PMA's institutional priorities on track: academic education, military training, character formation and infrastructure development.
The officials also discussed how "Game Theory" could be applied to build cadets' strategic thinking, analytical skills and decision-making, abilities the PMA said are increasingly important as the security landscape evolves.
Logico thanked the Board for its continued support. He underscored the need for sustained collaboration as the academy carries out its ongoing programs and long-term development initiatives, which the PMA said are meant to improve its training capabilities, learning environment and institutional readiness for the changing requirements of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The academy said that by working closely with the PMABOV, it aims to strengthen its programs and produce competent, principled and operationally ready "Leaders of Character" for a lifetime of service to the nation.
