Da Nang's Ba Na Hills: One Cable Car, a World Above the Clouds

Perched nearly 1,500 metres up Mount Chua, Ba Na Hills packs a French village, craft brewery, wine cellar, and the iconic Golden Bridge into a single mountaintop resort outside Da Nang.

A Resort Complex Sitting Nearly 1,500 Metres Over Da Nang

Mount Chua, roughly 25 kilometres from downtown Da Nang in Vietnam, is home to Ba Na Hills, where a single cable car ride delivers visitors to a mountaintop world that bears little resemblance to the tropical city below. That was the experience documented by Kenneth of BNNO Travel, who covered the destination firsthand during an October 2026 visit.

The cable car ascent takes between 15 and 25 minutes, according to BNNO Travel's on-site reporting, carrying passengers above dense forest, mountain ridges, and cascading waterfalls. If you are lucky, there is a sea of clouds.

The Golden Bridge: Cradled by Giant Stone Hands

Ba Na Hills' most photographed structure is the Golden Bridge, a pedestrian walkway stretching close to 150 metres at an elevation exceeding 1,400 metres above sea level, as documented by Kenneth during the visit. Its defining image is a pair of colossal sculpted stone hands that appear to hold the bridge above the clouds.

French Village Recreated on a Vietnamese Mountainside

Past the Golden Bridge, the complex unfolds into a sprawling French Village — cobblestone streets, castles, churches, towers, and open plazas reconstructed against a backdrop of Vietnamese mountain terrain, Kenneth reported for BNNO Travel.

Several distinct areas branch off from the village, including the flower gardens of Le Jardin D'Amour, Moon Castle, Eclipse Square, and a spiritual area.

A Colonial-Era Wine Cellar Over a Century Old

The Debay Wine Cellar, built by the French in 1923, is more than 100 years old, according to BNNO Travel's coverage.

Craft Beer on the Mountain, Included in the 2026 Ticket

The 2026 entrance ticket to Ba Na Hills comes with a coupon redeemable for two glasses of Sun Kraftbeer, Kenneth noted in BNNO Travel's coverage. The complex maintains its own craft brewery on the mountain, alongside Beer Plaza — a large restaurant constructed in the shape of a giant beer barrel — offering more than 90 Asian and European dishes alongside live music and live performances.

Fantasy Park Offers Indoor Options for Families

Ba Na Hills also houses Fantasy Park, which Kenneth described in the BNNO Travel report as a large indoor amusement park equipped with rides and games.

Microclimates That Shift Within Hours

The mountaintop's unpredictable weather is itself part of the Ba Na Hills experience, according to Kenneth's firsthand account from October 2026. Conditions at the summit can swing from warm sunshine to cool, overcast fog within just a few hours — a phenomenon BNNO Travel flagged as both an attraction and a practical concern for visitors arriving from Da Nang's lowland heat. A light jacket, the report advised, is worth bringing.

Three-Day Access on a Single Ticket Available in 2026

In 2026, eligible tickets can be upgraded at the counter for the "one ticket, three days" programme after FaceID registration, according to Kenneth's reporting for BNNO Travel.
