One hundred nineteen candidates successfully completed the Professional Electronics Engineers Oral Examination and Technical Evaluation administered by the Board of Electronics Engineering across multiple testing sites in October 2026, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced.
According to the PRC, the examinations were held in NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Koronadal, and Legazpi, as well as in Singapore. Results were made public on October 23, 2026.
The PRC noted that, unlike written licensure examinations, its announcement for this particular oral examination and technical evaluation discloses only the total number of passers — not the number of examinees who sat for it nor an overall passing rate.
About the Professional Electronics Engineer Title
Under Republic Act No. 9292, known as the Electronics Engineering Law of 2004, the electronics engineering profession is divided into three levels: electronics technician, electronics engineer, and professional electronics engineer. The professional electronics engineer designation is the highest tier and is obtained through an oral examination and technical evaluation conducted by the Board of Electronics Engineering, rather than through a written board examination.
Written Exam Results in the Same Period
The PRC also released results from the October 2026 written licensure examinations during the same week. Of 2,337 examinees who took the Electronics Engineers Licensure Examination, 1,106 passed. Meanwhile, 1,804 out of 2,057 examinees passed the Electronics Technicians Licensure Examination, the commission reported.
Board Members Who Conducted the Evaluation
The Technical Evaluation was conducted by the Board of Electronics Engineering, composed of Engr. Vicente L. Cejoco as Chairman, and Engr. Adonis Q. Talabo and Engr. Gerhard P. Tan as Members, according to PRC records.
Registration Schedule
The PRC said that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Cards and Certificates of Registration will begin on November 13, 2026. The complete list of successful examinees is available on the PRC's official website.
