<p>PHIVOLCS-DOST has determined that the earthquake was tectonic in origin.</p>
<p>Instrumental Intensity I was recorded in General Nakar, Quezon. According to the PHIVOLCS Earthquake Intensity Scale, Intensity I is described as imperceptible except by sensitive instruments.</p>
<p>PHIVOLCS-DOST reports that no damage and no aftershocks are expected as a result of this earthquake.</p>
<p>While the epicenter was located in Luzon, residents of Negros Oriental are advised to stay informed about earthquake safety measures. Although this particular event poses no threat to the Visayas region, it serves as a reminder of the country's seismic activity.</p>
